2019 Spring Scholarship Awards Luncheon

Mar 7, 2019

The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) hosted its Spring 2019 Scholarship Awards Luncheon on Thursday, February 14, 2019, in the Performing Arts and Fitness Center Gym. Scholarship recipients, family, donors, staff, faculty, and invited guests attended a lunch catered by Bon Appétit to recognize scholarship recipients—totaling 379 students—$562,348 in awards.

IAIA would like to thank the donors, administration, faculty, and staff for making the Spring 2019 Scholarship Awards Luncheon a success, and, congratulations to the Spring 2019 scholarship recipients!

“I would like to personally thank you for your donations to the [Institute of American Indian Arts and] American Indian College Fund. Your vision of seeing today’s Indigenous youth succeed has made a difference within our communities around the nation. Your support makes the world a more optimistic place for struggling Native Americans attending college. Personally, I know that without your kindness and support, I, along with countless other young Native people, would be faced with the decision to either put food on the table or pursue my college education. Thanks to people like yourself, I am able to do both. I hope this message of thanks reaches each and every one of you because it could not be more heartfelt.
—Yakoke (thank you)”
