Dear IAIA Students,

In light of the evolving CDC definitions and the increased availability of variant-specific boosters, the IAIA Board of Trustees has instituted an update to the 2022–2023 COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate.

This update requires that students registered for in-person classes and those living on campus provide proof of their initial vaccination and proof that they received the latest available booster within six months of the start of this academic year (as of December 9, 2022, this should be the Omicron Booster).

To comply with the updated mandate, please provide one of the following:

  1. Proof of full vaccination (a copy of your vaccination card with the latest booster listed)
  2. A declaration of exemption based on health, religion, or philosophical objection

We have designed a quick and easy form to enter and submit your proof of full vaccination or exemption. Failure to submit this form by Monday, January 16, 2023, by 5 pm will result in disenrollment from in-person classes and denial of access to campus facilities.

Any student or family member living on campus who submits and receives a qualifying exemption will be required to transition to online-only classes and forgo the use of campus facilities when and if they receive a lab-confirmed positive COVID-19 test result at any time in the 2022–2023 academic year.

If you are unwilling or unable to fulfill this IAIA Board of Trustees mandate requirement, please contact your advisor to discuss the wide range of remote course options, including online, hybrid, and hyflex courses. For questions, please contact IAIA Academic Dean Felipe Colón at fcolon@iaia.edu or IAIA Dean of Students Nena Martinez Anaya at nanaya@iaia.edu.

We hope you have a safe, happy, and healthy winter break, and we look forward to seeing you in the Spring.
