Emergency Procedures

If you have a campus emergency, please call IAIA Campus Security (505) 702-4274, or 911. Download and view the IAIA Campus Map. Sign up for our emergency alert system (form listed below) to receive notifications about weather delays, closings, and emergency issues and situations on campus. Life-Threatening

For any life-threatening situations, immediately call 911 (dial 8 + 911 from Campus or Museum landlines).

Fire Evacuation

Activate the nearest fire alarm and exit the building, call 911 once outside, then call IAIA Security at (505) 702-4274, remain outside.

Medical Emergency

Assess the scene for safety, call 911 for help with severe injuries, call IAIA Security at (505) 702-4274, locate nearest first aid kit or AED (if necessary), provide care to the level of your training.

Gas Leak

Leave the area immediately without shutting the door, follow instructions from emergency personnel, call Facilities at (505) 424-2326 (when it is safe), call IAIA Security at (505) 702-4274.

Natural Hazards

Seek shelter in the building’s lowest level, close doors and avoid windows, wait for an all-clear.

Active Shooter

Run, hide, and secure immediate area, silence phones, and if you are outside then run, crawl, and hide.
