The exterior portal columns of the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA) received a fresh look in August 2024. Six artists were chosen to repaint the columns, drawing inspiration from the theme of Land and Identity. These artists include Brian Taffee (Taos Pueblo) ’23, Haley Greenfeather English (Turtle Mountain Chippewa and Red Lake Nation) ’18, Topaz Jones McCoy (Shoshone Bannock) ’11, Robyn Tsinnajinnie (Diné) ’20, Eliza Naranjo-Morse (Tewa-Kha’p’o Owingeh and Santa Clara Pueblo), and Heidi Brandow (Diné and Kanaka Maoli) ’13. They spoke about their project and vision during the 2024 SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market at MoCNA.
