Join us for the closing reception of I AM at the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts Museum Store on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. This exhibition features works created by Indigenous youth from the Pueblo and Apache communities of New Mexico through a poem and photography workshop. The pieces explore the experience of navigating life as an Indigenous youth today while celebrating and preserving Native American heritage and culture.

Participating youths from neighboring Pueblos and Mescalero Apache schools include Tah-Wee Brown, Thur-Shae Brown, Verbena Comanche, Shu-Kae Coriz, Andy Evans, Acacia Garcia, Leland Johnson, Tisha Kaydahzinne, Khole Kayitah, Haillee Lester, Halia Lopez, Ishlow Magoosh, Malair Maldonaldo, Janae Marden, Sunryze Martinez, Ladon Mendez, Tanna Morgan, Brianna Pino, Maleeah Prins, Lily Isabella-Rena Romero, Kelvin Rocha, Amayliah Smith, Tripp Smith, Faithlynn Torres, Dominic Yazza, Presley Yellowcloud.

The exhibition is on view at the Museum Store Lloyd Kiva New Gallery at the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA) from December 4, 2024, through January 17, 2025. “I AM” is funded by the Art Bridges “Access for All” fund, a grant that provides free museum admission every Friday through 2026 and supports MoCNA’s work with Pueblo communities in New Mexico through workshops and tours.
