Thunderbirds and Lightning Tongues
Mon, May 22, 2023, 1:00 pm–3:00 pm
Please join us in welcoming the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) Creative Writing students for a cross-genre reading! Students from both the undergrad and master’s programs will be sharing their portfolio work. The genre-blending reading includes fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and screenwriting. From diverse heritages and backgrounds, these IAIA Creative Writers are re-writing the literary landscape through Indigenous narratives, storytelling, and voices. Witness the thunderbirds with lightning tongues.
The public reading will be held on Monday, May 22, from 1–3 pm at the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA) Allan Houser Art Park. MoCNA is located at 108 Cathedral Place, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
For questions, please contact MoCNA Membership and Program Assistant Nuttaphol Ma at nuttaphol.ma@iaia.edu.
