An Evening with IAIA MFA in Creative Writing

Join IAIA MFA in Creative Writing (MFACW), in partnership with the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday, November 1, 5–9 pm, for “An Evening with IAIA MFA in Creative Writing—Celebrating the Voices and Movements of Indigenous Creativity” highlighting IAIA alums and contemporary Indigenous authors. The event features MFACW Director Deborah Jackson Taffa (Quechan [Yuma] Nation and Laguna Pueblo), DezBaa’ (Diné and Basque, Spanish, and Mexican descent) ’21, Brendan Shay Basham (Diné) ’18, and Migizi Pensoneau (Ponca and Ojibwe) ’16.

About the Heard Museum

Since its founding in 1929, the Heard Museum, a private nonprofit organization, has grown in size and stature to become recognized internationally for the quality of its collections, world class exhibitions, educational programming and unmatched festivals.
