Get Indigenous Film Festival

The Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA), Museum of Indian Arts and Culture (MAIC), and the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) are proud to announce the second annual Get Indigenous Film Festival (GIFF), a multimedia component of the Santa Fe Indian Market. The programming for the event is produced by Chris Eyre (Cheyenne and Arapaho).

Join us for storytelling, brunch with culinary delights, and a panel discussion at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center (SFCCC) by notable Indigenous film and television content creators to discuss Indigenous content today and for the future, where the content is headed, and their personal insights for longevity in the industry.

Register for the event at Hold My Ticket.

GIFF Storytellers Panel tickets include a breakfast burrito catered by Boxcar and a drink sponsored by Tito’s Vodka while listening in to a conversation with renowned panelists Julian Brave NoiseCat (Canim Lake Band Tsq’escen and Lil’Wat Nation of Mount Currie descendant), Sugarcane, 2024; Kiowa Gordon (Hualapai heritage), Dark Winds, 2022–2024; and Bell Edmo (Pyramid Lake Paiute, Shoshone Bannock, and Blackfeet), 2024 IAIA Student of the Year. The panel discussion is moderated by James Lujan (Taos Pueblo), IAIA Cinematic and Technology department chair.
