Career Spotlight—IAIA Computer Science Program

Wed, April 23, 12:00 pm1:00 pm

| Free

Join us on Wednesday, April 23, from 12–1 pm for a luncheon in the CLE Commons featuring a special presentation introducing Drew Trujillo, IAIA’s new Computer Science Program Developer and Visiting Faculty. Trujillo will share his vision for the launch of IAIA’s new Computer Science degrees—Bachelor of Science, Associate, and Certificate programs—beginning Fall 2025. As a practicing artist with professional experience at Adobe, Autodesk, and Meow Wolf, Trujillo will outline the courses included in the program and discuss how learning to code can empower students to develop creative tools and technologies that reflect their worldviews and creative practices. Rooted in Indigenous perspectives and artistic expression, the program bridges traditional knowledge with emerging technologies, encouraging students to use code as a medium for storytelling, performance, studio, visual art, and immersive experience design.
