IAIA Announces Its New Tagline—The University for Indigenous Creative Excellence
Since 1962, the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) has led contemporary Indigenous arts nationally and internationally, and for over a decade, IAIA has offered graduate programs operating at the caliber of a university-level institution dedicated to fostering Indigenous creative excellence.
As such, IAIA is pleased to announce the release of a new logo set incorporating its newly adopted tagline, “The University for Indigenous Creative Excellence.” The tagline reflects the essence and aspirations of IAIA.
“I extend my gratitude to the Communications Committee for their commitment and insightful contributions in crafting a tagline that encapsulates the forward-looking ethos and vision of IAIA. Additionally, I thank the IAIA Trustees for their visionary leadership and support, pivotal in shaping IAIA—The University for Indigenous Creative Excellence.”
This change reflects IAIA’s goal to elevate the narrative of Indigenous arts and cultures. Accordingly, we remain committed to honoring and building upon our rich legacy of luminaries, critically acclaimed poets and authors, esteemed artists, museum professionals, innovative educators, and influential cultural leaders who carry connections forward and shape future generations.
