Dear IAIA Alumni,

Our IAIA Alumni are an important and integral part of the IAIA community. We value your input and want you to feel your concerns are being heard. The IAIA Alumni Council represents the interests of IAIA alumni. The council convenes regular meetings throughout the year and determines how best to represent alumni, how to further the goals of the Institute, and how to engage alumni.

Over the last several weeks, seven members of the IAIA alumni submitted nominations and many alumni voted in the election. Thank you for your participation in this important process.

Unfortunately, a series of miscommunications have created some confusion around the election process. We apologize and understand we need to work hard to ensure that our communication with the Alumni Council is straightforward and trustworthy. We know this situation has not been ideal and we ask for your patience.

The Alumni Council will be issuing details in the coming weeks on new elections to be held in January.

A new Alumni Relations Officer, Roanna Shebala (Diné, Zuni), will begin her employment in early January and will focus on maintaining open and transparent communications with the Alumni Council.
